An Education for Success - Gail Weingast MD

October 29, 2016
In order to get started on the right foot, Gail Weingast MD set out to get an education she could she be proud of and after her education from Boston University, where she earned her a medical degree, she then did an internship in the field of pediatrics from 1976-1977 at the Colorado General Hospital in Denver. This was her first chance to help people directly with her education and she thoroughly enjoyed the fact that she had the ability to help people with the skills she had gained. She then continued her education with a residency in the Radiology department from 1980 to 1983 at the Colorado General
Hospital as well, directly followed by a fellowship in the field of Ultrasound in 1983.

After that she wanted to further her skills and knowledge in the radiology field and so to improve her skills she did a postgraduate study as a Radiologist from 1983 to 1984 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver, CO. It was during this time that she finally found her niche and love for the field of radiology.

Gail Weingast MD has now worked as a radiologist for over twenty years. She is currently titled Chief of Ultrasound and Chief of Breast imaging at the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. She believes that her education prepared her well for her career and is grateful for the skills she obtained during that time.
